NotoWare provides business teams with the capability to facilitate and accelerate process improvement projects. These projects typically include the development and implementation of new technology for the business process. They typically require resources and personnel beyond the scope of the business team. Yet, the business team can contribute to the project’s success by using NotoWare as a platform for communicating and sharing process information.
Platform for the Project Team
The project team consists of a larger community than solely the business team. The additional project team members are temporarily involved with the process for the duration of the project. Using NotoWare, the project team members can quickly get up-to-speed on learning the business process. NotoWare provides a platform where project teams can review and analyze process details such as procedure steps and business rules.
Monitor Project Scope
NotoWare provides the team with a method to monitor the progress of the process improvement project. As the business team are identifying problems, they can add the procedures impacted by the problems to the NotoWare project. Throughout the process improvement phases, the project team can update the procedures with both analysis and solution information. NotoWare’s project feature provides a central location to review impact and scope of the process improvement changes.
Facilitate Project Planning
As the project team analyzes and investigates the process, they will be able to pin-point the root causes for problems and business needs. During this planning phase of the project, they will build the list of requirements/user stories necessary for developing solutions. It’s during this phase that NotoWare can be used to associate the requirements/user stories to the affected procedures. The procedures become the link between the business users and the requirement/user stories. This link will aid the intended users in understanding and accepting the requirements/user stories for the project
Review Project Solutions
As solutions are being developed the details about the solutions can be captured in NotoWare. During this phase the procedures will get updated with the details steps on how to the use the solutions. The procedure continues to serve as the link to aid the intended user with understanding the solution changes. The intended users can review their procedures and evaluated the functionality of the solutions.
Report the Project Progress
During these phases of the project, the team can use NotoWare to report the progress of the project to the stakeholders, management team or other interested parties. The report will include the number of impacted procedures, number of affected users and the number of changed software/technology items along with the details for these changes.
Implement Project Changes
When the project solution reviews are finished and the final adjustments are completed the project changes can be implemented. The NotoWare project will contain the updated list of procedures that were modified, created or retired along with their details. The users affected by these changes can use the procedures as a training aid to learn how to use the new solutions.
Prepare for Future Projects
At the end of the project, the procedure information is updated with latest information. With this updated information, the business team is prepared and able to facilitate and help accelerate the next process improvement project.
