NotoWare enables business teams to use their organizational knowledge as a resource to build confidence and motivation about managing changes. The project features provide the change team the administrative functions to transition the organization from a current state to a future state.
NotoWare Project
- The Outline section on the left lists the outlines for the support resources (procedures, policies, etc.) involved with the project. The outline provides an overview of the changes and quick navigation to the change details. (3 resources are listed in the outline)
- The Project section provides the functionality to administer the change project. It contains summary information on the project and reports the change impact for (resources, users, and technology interfaces):
- Project Information: Name, purpose, start, and release dates.
- User Roles: user role with the project (Approver in this example).
- Resource Changes: number of support resources in the project. (3 in this example)
- Users Affected by Changes: the count of users impacted by project changes. (6 in this example)
- Interface Changes: Number of technology interfaces (software screens) modified in the project. (1 in this example)
- This section also displays additional project functions:
- Project modifications: history of project changes.
- Project Team: project team and their role assignments
- Issues (complete /total ): manage the issues for the project.
- Reconciliations (complete/total): reconcile changes when other parallel projects also modified support resources.
- Approvals (complete/total): list of project approvals
- Assignments (complete/total): manages specific user assignments for developing and reviewing changes.
- This section also displays additional project functions:
- The Resource section displays the details for the resource selected in the outline control. These resource details provide the stakeholders the organizational knowledge necessary for operating their processes. To support transitions the resource also provides features that highlight the change details for the modification.
Change Details
The project team can develop the knowledge details and change notes that support the stakeholders with the transition from the current state to the future state. This example informs the user that for this revision an application screen was modified with a new filter option, and with this specific job task, the user can skip using the filter option.
